At Almaden Academy of Music we nourish every student’s natural love of music, from our tiniest babies to advanced pre-professionals. If you have (or wish to have!) a song in your heart, we have a place for you.

Music for Little Ones Early Childhood Group Classes (ages 0-7 yrs)
Private Lessons
(Ages 4.5+, adults welcome)

We offer private lessons in voice, piano, violin, viola, cello, saxophone, clarinet, flute, trumpet, trombone, French horn, guitar (acoustic and electric), ukulele, guzheng, percussion, drumset, bass (electric & upright), digital production, composition, music theory, recorder, & AP Music Theory Prep. We are an approved vendor for Ocean Grove and an approved vendor for SJUSD public schools (elementary general music).
Summer Camp Registration is OPEN! (Weekly, June 2-Aug 1)
There are no repeats all summer! There's something for everyone, and even experienced musicians will enjoy any of them. Space is limited so the teachers can adjust to each student's level. We do adhere to the age guidelines for each camp so we can best serve the students. Please note camp tuition is not refundable unless we can fill the spot with a waitlist student. (This is to be in line with other camps in our area.) Private lessons offered all summer as well.
Onsite@ Graystone, Williams, and Bret Harte ensembles are going!
We are thrilled to provide extracurricular instrumental ensembles (Band, Orchestra, Choir varies by school) ONSITE at Graystone Elementary, Williams Elementary, and Bret Harte Middle School. Registration for the Spring 2025 semester closes Jan 31. New students are invited to join for our Spring semester in January. Kids can pick what they play. Need-based scholarships available. New this Fall: Advanced Ensembles!
Wind Ensemble & Rock Band provide awesome opportunities for older kids who love music to have even more music in their week. Casual, fun, and challenging. Try for free! Middle and high school students. Low tuition, scholarships available.
Onsite@SOTV: Fun Fridays!
AAM is delighted to offer its popular Music for Little Ones class ONSITE at Shepherd of the Valley Preschool on Fridays during the school day. Open to SOTV students in Mrs. Quast, Mrs. P., and Ms. Morella’s classes. Half or full-day students welcome. Class is held from 11:45am-12:20pm in the gym, and full-day students eat lunch with their music friends right after class. Register here for a fabulously fun way to end your child’s week. Spring semester starts Jan 24. Space is limited.
Instrument Rental Program
ALMADEN ACADEMY OF MUSIC is pleased to offer an affordable musical instrument rental program through EASYRENT powered by NEMC. Through this program, we are able to offer the South San Jose community access to affordable and convenient rentals, backed by a national company, providing you access to the largest inventory of teacher-approved quality musical instruments in new or like-new condition such as trumpets, clarinets, trombones, flutes, saxophones, violins, violas, cellos, percussion and many more at an extremely affordable price. School-year, short-term, and long-term rentals available and shipped right to your door.
