At Almaden Academy of Music we nourish every student’s natural love of music, from our tiniest babies to advanced pre-professionals. If you have (or wish to have!) a song in your heart, we have a place for you.

Music for Little Ones Early Childhood Group Classes (ages 0-7 yrs)
Private Lessons
(Ages 4.5+, adults welcome)

We offer private lessons in voice, piano, violin, viola, cello, saxophone, clarinet, flute, trumpet, trombone, French horn, guitar (acoustic and electric), ukulele, guzheng, percussion, drumset, bass (electric & upright), digital production, composition, music theory, recorder, & AP Music Theory Prep. We are an approved vendor for Ocean Grove and an approved vendor for SJUSD public schools (elementary general music).
Spring Offer: Fridays!
FOUR FREE FRIDAYS! Register for our Music for Little Ones mixed age class on Fridays at 10am and receive 4 classes free, from March 28-April 25. No commitment, completely free. Ages 3months-6yrs welcome. (Friday class only please.)
Magic Music Box Class
We’re so excited for Miss Kaya’s Magic Music Box class! Grades TK-Grade 2 (ages 4.5-8). In this fun-filled general music class kids develop note-reading and writing, rhythm, pitch, singing, instrumental skills, improvisation, story-telling, and have a blast doing it. Try for free! Thursdays 4:30-5:15pm.
Summer Camp Registration is OPEN! (Weekly, June 2-Aug 1)
There are no repeats all summer! There's something for everyone, and even experienced musicians will enjoy any of them. Space is limited so the teachers can adjust to each student's level. We do adhere to the age guidelines for each camp so we can best serve the students. Please note camp tuition is not refundable unless we can fill the spot with a waitlist student. (This is to be in line with other camps in our area.) Private lessons offered all summer as well. REGISTER BY MARCH 30, 2025 TO RECEIVE A BOGO 30% OFF YOUR 2ND WEEK OF CAMP! Register for one and email us with your choice for the 2nd week, and we will register you with the 30% discount. Can be used for siblings, 2 different weeks required.
Onsite@ Graystone, Williams, and Bret Harte ensembles are going!
We are thrilled to provide extracurricular instrumental ensembles (Band, Orchestra, Choir varies by school) ONSITE at Graystone Elementary, Williams Elementary, and Bret Harte Middle School. Registration for the Spring 2025 semester has closed. New students will be invited to join for our Fall semester August. Kids can pick what they play. Need-based scholarships available. Instrument Rental Program
ALMADEN ACADEMY OF MUSIC is pleased to offer an affordable musical instrument rental program through EASYRENT powered by NEMC. Through this program, we are able to offer the South San Jose community access to affordable and convenient rentals, backed by a national company, providing you access to the largest inventory of teacher-approved quality musical instruments in new or like-new condition such as trumpets, clarinets, trombones, flutes, saxophones, violins, violas, cellos, percussion and many more at an extremely affordable price. School-year, short-term, and long-term rentals available and shipped right to your door.
